TODD LEWIN, PT
Physiotherapist/Owner
Todd graduated from the Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy in 1989. Todd has worked in the areas of acute and chronic injury management and occupational rehabilitation for the past 25 years. He presently sits on the Board of the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and is the Chair of the Practice Standards Committee


SHAUN SANGSTER, PT
Physiotherapist/Owner
Shaun is a physiotherapy graduate from Dalhousie University in 2004. Prior to this, Shaun received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1998 at Saint Mary’s University. He is currently undergoing his Masters in Health Management at McMaster University and expected to graduate in 2015. Shaun has worked primarily in the private healthcare sector, however, has also been employed as a rehabilitation consultant in the public healthcare system. With over 9 years of clinical experience, Shaun comes with exceptional knowledge of injury education and occupational rehabilitation. Shaun has attended various courses in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and acupuncture. Shaun has volunteered his time with various sporting events within the community of Halifax Regional Municipality and has fulfilled his role as a board of director with the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association.


DEBRA VIETH-MORSE, B.Sc. O.T. Reg. (N.S.)
Occupational Therapist/Owner
Debra graduated from Dalhousie’s School of Occupational Therapy in 1995. Debra began her career at the IWK Health Centre working the areas of Mental and Physical Health. In 1996, she accepted a full time position as an Occupational Therapist with CBI Health (formerly Halifax Working Centre) working in the area of vocational rehabilitation. In 2000, Debra became co manager of the clinic while fulfilling duties as the Program Coordinator. She has been certified to perform vocational assessments as well as standardized functional assessments. Debra has experience working with Third Party Insurers, the Workers' Compensation Board, Employers and Family Physicians.



SARAH BAYNE, Bsc.OT Reg (NS), BSc.H.K
Occupational Therapist /Kinesiologist/Owner

Sarah graduated from Dalhousie University’s School of Occupational Therapy in 2007. Additionally, she has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Kinetics, from Saint Francis Xavier University from which she graduated in 2002. Sarah has been working in the private rehabilitation sector for 12 years. She has extensive experience with transitional return to work planning for individuals following injury, job site analysis, ergonomic assessments, functional assessments, exercise prescription, home visits, and injury prevention. Sarah is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) as well as the Nova Scotia College of Occupational Therapists (NSSOT). Sarah has completed additional certification and training in EPIC Lift Capacity Testing, Personal Training, Fitness Consulting/Exercise Physiology and Pre & Post Natal Fitness.



DR. BURTON McCANN, MD JD CIME FCFP FAADEP FACOEM
Dr. McCann is a Specialist in Family Medicine with a Focused Practice in Occupational Medicine. He is a Dalhousie University graduate with degrees in Psychology, Law and Medicine. He is certified in Family Medicine and as an Independent Medical Examiner. He holds Fellowships with the College of Family Physicians of Canada, the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Since beginning practice in 1989 Dr. McCann has developed extensive expertise providing assessments, opinions, recommendations, and decisions concerning permanent medical impairment, disability, fitness for work, treatment, and suitability for rehabilitation programs in a cross section of agency and private practice positions.



ALLAN De STECHER
Psychologist

Allan de Stecher has been offering a wide range of psychological services for fifteen years. He is a registered clinical psychologist, licensed through the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners (NSBEP) and a member of the Association of Psychologists for Nova Scotia (APNS). He uses a very relaxed, eclectic approach with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other research based/supported techniques. Areas of practice include pain management, stress management, anger management, the treatment of insomnia, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and most other mental health concerns. Consults and assessments can typically be arranged within seven days.



ROBIN SAUNDERS, RMT, SMI (cc)
Registered Massage Therapist

Robin Saunders graduated from Canadian College Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2009. She is a member of the Massage Therapist’s & Wholistic Practitioners Association of the Maritimes and Canadian Sport Massage Therapy Association. Robin is a Registered Massage Therapist and is currently a certification candidate to obtain her Sport Massage Therapist certification. Robin actively volunteers within the sport community at various events working with athletes of amateur to professional status. Robin has provided massage therapy to athletes involved with the Bluenose Marathon, Tim Horton’s Brier, the Halifax Mooseheads, the 2011 Canadian Winter Games, 2012 FIVB Beach Volleyball SWATCH World Junior Championship, the Halifax Rainmen. Robin uses techniques such as: Swedish therapy, deep tissue, Myofascial release, Trigger Point therapy release, stretching and strengthening conditioning. Robin continues to provide valuable care for her all her clients and enjoys a healthy lifestyle involving sports, fitness and outdoor activities. MELISSA-JEAN (ARCHER) DAUPHINEE
Clinic Administrator

Melissa-Jean, most commonly known as MJ, was born in 1980, Plymouth, England. She has graduated from Dartmouth High School in 1998, and finished 3 years at Saint Mary's. She began her administrative career in 1999 with Eastern Rehabilitation as a part time evening receptionist, and Physiotherapy assistant. With strong work ethic, she quickly accepted a full-time front desk receptionist and then Clinic Administrator for CBI Health Centre- Halifax. Melissa-Jean has worked with Eastern Rehabilitation and CBI Health Centre for 14 years, before becoming a member of Core Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre Inc. MJ has extensive experience and worked closely, administratively tasks related to MVA, WCB, LTD, and various extended health plans (e.g. Blue Cross, Great West Life). In her spare time, MJ enjoys spending time with her husband Mike and her children.
